President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the Islamic Republic gives high priority to expanding its relations with all the Latin American nations.
President Ahmadinejad made the remarks at a meeting with the new Peruvian accredited ambassador to Iran, Javier Paolini Velarde, on Tuesday.
"There is a great potential for expansion of mutual ties between Iran and Peru, which can be employed to the interests of the two nations,"
Dr.Ahmadinejad also referred to the vast commonalities between Iran and Latin American nations and their extensive experience in different arenas, noting that Iran and the Latin America can enjoy this immense potential to expand their mutual and regional cooperation.
The Peruvian ambassador,also after dedicating his credential letters to Dr.Ahmadinejad,said: "his country gives a high priority to its relations with Iran so that Tehran and Lima could further expand their ties.
