Iran’s Revolution Deepened Islamic Thought

The Islamic Revolution of Iran, which was led to victory by late Imam Khomeini (RA), has inspired Islamic movements and deepened Islamic thought.

Bfnews: This is according to the closing statement of the first conference on the Youth and Islamic Awakening.

Palestine’s Minister of Youth and Sports Muhammad Maduhn read out the statement at the closing ceremony of the conference Monday night.

The statement said that the participants at the conference discussed issues like the theoretical, ideological foundations of the development and progress of the Islamic Awakening; the arrogant powers facing the tide of Islamic awakening; the youth, resistance, Palestine and Islamic Awakening; pathology of the opportunities and threats facing the Islamic Awakening; and the future outlook of the Islamic Awakening.

The participants in the statement reiterated, among other things, that Islamic Awakening is the fulfillment of Divine promise; the present century is a century of Islam and spirituality and humanity, that has surpassed all the materialistic ideologies and schools of thought, is now in the beginning of a new era whose main characteristics is attention to God and spirituality; the Islamic Revolution of Iran, which was led to victory by late Imam Khomeini (RA), has inspired Islamic movements and deepened Islamic thought, seeking independence, freedom, justice, and human dignity, resistance against tyranny and colonialism, and rejection of racial, ethnic and sectarian discrimination, are the main characteristics of the Islamic Awakening movement; and the issue of Palestine and the glorious resistance of the Palestinian people against the Zionist regime is the main issue of the Islamic world and a major part of the Islamic Awakening tide.

The conferees also urged the secretariat of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening to continue holding such conferences with a greater presence of women, launch a website titled Islamic Awakening, establish a center for strategic studies in the field of Islamic Awakening, and launch a satellite TV network to cover news and reports about the developments in Islamic Awakening movement.

The first conference on the Youth and Islamic Awakening was held in Tehran on January 29-30 with the participation of over 1200 young Muslims from ۷۳ countries.
