BFnews: Obama has called the Saudi king and the British PM separately late on Saturday.
Obama and King Abdullah"expressed their shared, deep concerns about the Syrian government's use of violence against its citizens," said a White House statement.
"They agreed that the Syrian regime's brutal campaign of violence against the Syrian people must end immediately, and to continue close consultations about the situation in the days ahead."
During Obama’s call with Cameron, the two Presidents reiterated "their deep concern about the Syrian government's use of violence against civilians and their belief that the Syrian people's legitimate demands for a transition to democracy should be met”, the White House said in a separate statement.
"They agreed on the need for an immediate halt of all bloodshed and violence against the Syrian people."
The statement added that the pair vowed to "closely monitor the actions that the Syrian government is taking and to consult on further steps in the days ahead."
