He demanded for promotion of Iran's scientific advances in a way that anti religious propagandas are foiled. Senior cleric called scientific promotions as a way to promote Islam and a symbol that Islam motivates scientific advancement. He referred to Islamic Revolution of Iran and the advances made in the post revolution Iran and expressed regret that the developments in cultural aspect have not been satisfactory. Ayatollah Makarem counted seminary and university as two centers which play an important role in solving the cultural problem of the country. "Enemies, due to the high expense of military attacks, have focused on cultural invasion and ruining the minds of the youths." Said the cleric and called for formation of three groups to work on lesson plans, materials and also professors. He quoted Islamic motto that science is an ever target of search for a Muslim and it has to be learnt no matter where it is. "Sciences have to be learnt by Muslims before it is adjusted with Islamic values, then a monotheistic observation of science will be plausible." Ayatollah Makarem said. Top religious figure also quoted a Hadith by Imam Ali (AS), first Shia Imam saying the positive outcomes for three good deeds never end, firstly, giving charity, then raising good children and finally learning and leaving science for the descendants. End/m ]]> Iran Mon, 16 Apr 2012 06:40:50 GMT http://bfnews.ir/vdciuwaw.t1ap52lict.html We Can Manage Iran If We Don't Sell Oil for 3 Years http://bfnews.ir/vdcc40qp.2bq1s8y-a2.html Bfnews: "Some people think that they can trouble Iran through oil sanctions but I should say that we have so much reserves that even if we don't sell oil for two to three years, the country will be administered easily," Ahmadinejad reiterated, addressing people in the Southern province of Hormozgan on Tuesday. After months of debates, the EU member states obeyed the US policies and reached an agreement in their meeting on January 23 to sanction oil imports from Iran and freeze the assets of Iran's Central Bank within the EU. The Iranian oil ministry in a statement late January downplayed the effects of the US and EU's unilateral oil sanctions against Tehran, and said such embargoes will merely harm the European economies and oil consuming countries. European sanctions against Iran's oil exports will affect the world economy and hurt European and non-European countries, the statement said. Later, Tehran summoned the ambassadors of Italy, Spain, France, Greece, Portugal and the Netherlands to protest at the EU's unilateral sanctions against Tehran over its peaceful nuclear program, and warned them that it would soon stop oil exports to these countries if they do not reverse their decision. After the EU's decision to embargo Iranian oil supplies, Tehran stopped exports to France, Britain and, of course very recently, Greece. Following Tehran's oil sanctions against the three and its warning to other EU members, oil prices started soaring in the world markets. End/m ]]> Iran Thu, 12 Apr 2012 06:40:22 GMT http://bfnews.ir/vdcc40qp.2bq1s8y-a2.html Oil price hike over Iran biggest threat to US economy http://bfnews.ir/vdcdno0k.yt0sf6me2y.html Bfnews: According to the CNNmoney survey published on Wednesday, nine out of 18 participant economists said that the rising oil prices is now a bigger threat to the US economy than Washington’s ongoing gridlock over budget and fear of China’s economic slowdown. This is while only five participant economists cited the European debt crisis as the biggest risk to the US economy. On December 31, 2011, Washington imposed a new round of sanctions on Iran's financial and energy sectors seeking to penalize other countries for importing Iranian crude or doing business with its central bank. The EU followed suit by imposing similar sanctions on January 23, banning member states from importing crude oil from Iran or dealing with the country’s central bank. Iran's decision to impose countersanctions on the European countries, including halting oil exports to six European countries, has led to a hike in global oil prices, pushing gasoline prices in the US and the UK to record highs. The rising gasoline prices have become a major issue in the US presidential election campaign. Tehran has so far halted oil exports to France, Britain, Greece and Germany and is also considering halting crude sales to Italy. The US, Israel and some of their allies accuse Tehran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear energy program. End/m ]]> Iran Thu, 12 Apr 2012 06:40:06 GMT http://bfnews.ir/vdcdno0k.yt0sf6me2y.html Iran Disbands Sophisticated Israeli Terror Network http://bfnews.ir/vdcbzabs.rhbf8pe4ur.html Bfnews: In a statement issued Tuesday afternoon, the Iranian Intelligence Ministry said its forces "have discovered one of the biggest terror and sabotage networks of the Quds Occupying Regime (Israel) and protected cells of its operatives and arrested groups of criminal terrorists and mercenaries cooperating with them". The ministry also said that it has discovered and seized large caches of ammunition, weapons and military and telecommunication tools and equipment in the operation. The ministry declined to reveal any further details due to security considerations, but said it will provide the public with more information in due time. End/m ]]> Iran Thu, 12 Apr 2012 06:27:47 GMT http://bfnews.ir/vdcbzabs.rhbf8pe4ur.html Velayat and Imamate ways to perfection http://bfnews.ir/vdcftmdt.w6dmca7riw.html Bfnews: President Ahmadinejad made the remarks addressing the attendees in the 13th martyrdom anniversary of Brigadier-General Ali Sayad Shirazi, who was chief-of-staff of the Iranian forces during the 8-year defensive war against Iraqi dictator Saddam, and some 110 other martyred commander of the sacred defense.
