The text of the message of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in condemnation of the attacks against the Holy Quran was registered as a United Nations document.

BFnews: Iran’s permanent representative to the UN Mohammad Khazaie said the registration of the document served the purpose of attracting the attention of the international community to Iran’s rightful stands on the issue.

He said it also aimed at alarming the world on the dangerous consequences of insulting Muslims’ holy script and hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims who account for over a quarter of world’s population.

As for the measures taken to confront such ominous acts against Islamic values, he said that Iran’s representative office to the UN immediately corresponded with the secretariat of the Organization of the Islamic Conference in New York and, outlining the whole situation, also asked the UN to take solid measures against such ridiculous actions.
